Carson ran in the 2009 JBRL 8 race series and finished 2nd overall in Intermediate Truggy and 5th overall in Intermediate Buggy for the year.

In the Kyosho Fall Classic he was fast qualifier in Intermediate Truggy and finished 1st in the A-main.  In Intermediate Buggy he finshed 2nd in the A-main
